Men are more productive at work when in a relationship, according to online dating service, Zoosk, which recently surveyed more than 4500 of its members on living the single life. The survey boasts a "whopping" 64 percent of single men believe they are more productive in the workplace when they are dating someone.
Do we work harder because of the pressure of a relationship, or do our positive vibes rub off on our workmates? Hard to say. But, For a guy, being in a relationship involves relatively quiet Saturday nights, someone to keep your rowdy mates at bay, mature and intelligent evening conversation, plus a necessary basic level of general responsibility and accountability.
Single life for a man out there on the prowl is quite often the complete opposite. Who's going to be fresher on a Monday morning, more willing to work back late on a Friday, or better prepared for that big company meeting?
Interestingly, the survey also revealed 53 percent of single women say their productivity actually goes down or is unchanged when they are in a relationship.
