Your morning cup of joe may just be the key to marital bliss. New research conducted by The National Institutes of Health says when people hold hot coffee they view their partner as more trustworthy and caring than when holding iced coffee.

How can coffee have such a happy side effect?Researchers suggest the link could be rooted in our psyche from when we were infants and held by our warm mothers.But there are biological reasons too -- past research shows the "insula" region of the brain is involved in processing both physical warmth and emotional warmth. 

Even more interesting, holding hot coffee makes you more generous and caring toward your friends and family. When subjects held heated or frozen objects and were told they could receive a gift certificate for a friend or a gift for themselves, people who held the hot object were more likely to ask for the gift certificate. And the cold carriers tended to keep the gift.So what are you waiting for? Brew some java and snuggle up!
