A new study is delving into the connections between what goes on in the bedroom, and in the bank. Researchers in the United Kingdom asked the question whether women with rich men are happier in the bedroom.According to the study by a British psychologist, women experience more pleasure when being romantic with wealthier partners. So in essence, it’s men with bank who drive ladies to the brink.

The study involved 5,000 people across China, who were questioned about their personal lives, sex lives, income and other factors. “Women’s orgasm frequency increases with the income of their partner,” said lead author Dr. Thomas Pollet, a psychologist at Newcastle University.

But Dr. Anne-Renee Testa, a psychologist and relationship coach, says the study’s premise disturbs her. “It makes me want to throw up,” Testa said. Testa says the purported link between money and intimacy reinforces the gold-digger stereotype females have long faced. “How shallow can you get?” Testa asked.
