How annoying is it to be in a relationship for years and turn around and think to yourself, what am I doing with this loser? Year after year you put up with the same crap, you listen to them wine, you deal with their horrible habits and most importantly you try and try and try to make this relationship work. You do everything humanly possible to stay with this person.

You invest years of your life into this relationship only to come to the same conclusion, it’s just not working. Finally after years of “trying” you are in a place where you are done. So, you tragically end the relationship. You don’t necessarily think the grass is greener on the other side, but you certainly think there has GOT to be someone better suited for you somewhere in this world. Whether you end on a happy note or violently kill the person, it ends and you ultimately move on.

Once you have really let go and your heartstrings are flapping in the wind again you meet someone. Maybe it’s a random meeting at the gym or maybe a friend sets you up. However the meeting takes place it’s very peculiar that all too often that person shows similar characteristics to the previous person in your life.

How is that even possible? I realize that people are basically the same, but how can you end a relationship well aware of the flaws and dislikes you had with that person then turn around and meet someone almost exactly the same. Granted, there will be slight variations but they are basically the same. How do you know when you meet someone what he or she will be like? Is it a subconscious level of dating? Do we all just attract the same type of people and if that’s the case how do you break that cycle?
